We report on optical injection locking of Q-switched InGaN multi-section diode laser from CW tunable laser to produce solitary pulses at precise wavelength. To the best of our knowledge, this has never been done before.
We analyze transition from amplified spontaneous emission to Q-switched lasing in InGaN laser with absorber. We find narrow region that requires us to evoke cooperative recombination of two electron-hole pairs in X or ? configuration.
This paper reports on our progress in developing multibeam two-photon fluorescence lifetime imaging microscopy (FLIM) based on time-correlated single-photon counting (TCSPC). The core of the system is a 2D array of solid-state single-photon avalanche diodes (SPADs) operating simultaneously and at room temperature. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first solid-state demonstration of a two-photon...
The design and analysis of phase-coupled arrays of vertical-cavity surface-emitting lasers (VCSELs) can greatly profit from concepts related to photonic crystals (PhCs). VCSEL-arrays can be modeled as PhCs in which the refractive index varies periodically in the plane normal to the beam propagation direction. The relatively simple implementation of these structures via lithography techniques permits...
Mapping of the degree of spatial coherence among the elements of VCSEL-based photonic crystal homo- and hetero-structures reveals details of the phase locking not available from conventional far-field diffraction patterns.
