This paper presents an application of Direct Torque Control (DTC) drive scheme for a photovoltaic water pumping system. The photovoltaic panel is used to supply the inverter feeding the induction motor used to drive the water pump. The pumping system studied is presented and developed under Matlab/Simulink environment and results of simulation show high performances of the proposed model.
