Aim of the work is to define a parametric model to evaluate the dielectric properties of human tissues in the microwave range starting from the tissue's water content. A qualitative validation comparing the data obtained from the model with those available in the literature has been performed.
The scope of this paper is to compare the different methods in the literature to derive the dielectric properties of human tissues from the water content. The water content data are in turn obtainable from MR images.
The scope of this article is to compare two methods to extrapolate the water content of human tissues from magnetic resonance imaging. Two different approaches to gain the same goal will be outlined and discussed in order to draw a roadmap for subsequent studies and refinements which will lead to dielectric properties finding.
