The simple two-dimensional theoretical model of a conducting screen with a periodic array of rectangular holes is developed. In the paper the radiation patterns of equidistant, random and fractal antenna arrays were simulated and analyzed. We demonstrated efficiency of suppression of higher orders interference maxima due to fractal distribution of sources in the array as compared to their random distribution.
The TEM-wave diffraction problem is solved analytically using an array of two slots in a thick waveguide wall.
