This paper presents the synthesis and characterization of a new material: an iron/titanium dioxide composite (obtained by a novel method from colloidal iron and titanium tetrabutoxide) with a dye (Congo red) adsorbed onto the composites surface. The new synthesized materials were structurally characterized using Scanning Electron Microscopy, FT-IR spectroscopy and Energy-Dispersive X-ray spectroscopy.
