Here we report a coherent combining of two 500- mW EDFAs operating at 1550nm with a dynamical phase control provided either by one low-power laser diode at 980nm alone or in combination with a laser at 1060nm both stimulating electron transitions in an Yb-doped optical fiber. Two wavelengths scheme improves the dynamical range and the response time of the phase control loop.
We present the fabrication procedure of a novel inner cladding fiber with InP nano-thin film. A flat supercontinuum over 100 nm in the telecommunication band is generated by infecting 1550 nm, 120 fs, 50 MHZ repetition rate optical pulse into this kind of fiber. The supercontinuum generation of different fiber lengths and at different pump power is studied. The results indicate that the width of the...
Both InP-based and GaAs-based high-power single-mode lasers are described. Single-mode powers of 9 W at 1064 nm and 1.2 W at 1550 nm have been achieved.
