A low-cost photoconductive dual-band detector based on a ZnO film sensitized with lead sulfide quantum dots (PbS-QDs) is reported. The UV response arises from the interband absorption of UV radiation by ZnO, and the IR response is due to the absorption in the PbS-QDs. The detector exhibits UV response from 200 to 400 nm with a peak responsivity of 4.0 × 105 V/W and detectivity D* of 5.5 × 1011 Jones...
Phosphorus doped ZnO quantum dots (QDs) have been fabricated on Si substrates by metal organic chemical vapor deposition method without using additional thermal activation processes. Single-crystal phosphorus doped ZnO quantum dots (QDs) have the average diameter of 20 nm and show preferred orientation with (001) direction. The incorporation of phosphorus in ZnO QDs was identified by x-ray photoelectron...
CdSe/ZnS colloidal quantum dot generally exists blinking phenomenon during luminescence process, that remarkably influences its application as a single photon source. In this work, we used the effect of surface plasmon to effectively suppressed the blinking by locating quantum dot on gold film. The anti-bunching character was also observed with g(2)(0) as low as 0.34 at room temperature. Surface plasmon...
We demonstrate an on-chip toroidal microcavity nanocrystal quantum dot laser with a threshold energy below 10 femto-Joules at room temperature, a factor of 1 million lower than previously reported for strongly-confined, nanocrystal quantum dot lasers.
