This paper present the preliminary experimental results of carbon nanotube(CNT) cold cathode arrays using thermal chemical vapor deposition (TCVD). The results of the field emission test show that the current density of carbon nanotube arrays can achieve 2.2A/cm2 with a total emission current of 17.2mA.
High direct currents of 2.0 mAmps for a 15 micron diameter single walled nanotube (SWNT) fiber were achieved. Highly aligned, dense SWNT morphology in the fiber was demonstrated to reduce threshold emission and improve resilience to Joule heating. SWNT fibers were exposed to ion bombardment and the effects on emission were evaluated.

In this paper, we reported the large field-emission from CNTs and ZnO tetrapods composited field emitters. Screen-printing method is used in our experiment and more than 15 mA field-emission current is obtained with 0.5 mm gap.
