This paper investigates a new direct torque control (DTC) strategy for induction machine based on particle swarm optimization (PSO). The PSO was used to adjust the parameters (Kp, Ki, Kd) of PID controller. The scheme improves the adjustive capability of PID controller. The new direct torque controlled strategy is considered in detail and it is shown that the use of PSO-PID controller decrease the...
In this paper the torque and speed sensorless induction motor (IM) control is presented. The main idea consists in utilizing the best qualities of the both nonlinear structures of the motor observer and the current controller. Motor observer is based on flux error between modeled and measured quantities. In addition, the rotor flux observer is using combination of the feedforward and feedback terms...
PID controllers are very common in industrial systems applications. Tuning of parameters of the controllers is governed by system nonlinearities and continuous parameter variations. In this paper, a complete and rigorous comparison is made between two tuning algorithms. PI controller was used in a speed control loop through a field oriented Control (FOC) of an induction motor. AC machine was primarily...
A novel fuzzy sliding-mode structure has been proposed for Exend Kalman Filter(EKF) based sensorless control of an induction motor in this paper. The design includes a Extend Kalman Filter(EKF) from measured stator terminal voltages and currents. The estimated speed is used as feedback in an indirect vector control system achieving the speed control without using shaft mounted transducers. Fuzzy sliding-mode...
The paper presents a method for controlling induction motor using internal model control (IMC) approach. The forward and inverse models are nonlinear in the rotor flux coordinate. Simulation results show that the control system has good performance and robust against changes in motor parameters (rotor and stator resistances, inductances, rotor inertia).
