In this paper, a multi-purpose wireless charger design and implementation procedure is presented. A simple design based on Colpitts oscillator has been used to implement the transmitter side. The structure of the receiver coil has been optimized to improve the coupling efficiency. The system has been fabricated, cased and tested with different mobile devices and tablets.
Wireless power transfer (WPT) is widely used in portable devices with the advantage of flexibility and convenience. This paper proposes a cooperative multiple coil matrix transmitter (CMCM) structure. This design allows the mobile device receiver coil to be freely placed above the wireless charging pad which can select the appropriate transmitter coils to activate according to the location of the...
In this paper, the development wireless power charging system for mobile device based on magnetic resonance coupling is proposed. The system is comprised of three parts; a transmitter circuit to generate the AC signal to be transferred, transmitting and receiving radiators to transfer the power of AC signal wirelessly, and a receiver circuit to convert the received AC signal into DC voltage for charging...
The advent of new technologies nowadays are making our lives relatively easier. Wireless charging using inductive coupling could be one of the new technologies that can be the cause of a revolution. In this project it has been showcased that the charging of low power devices wirelessly via inductive coupling has become possible. This wireless charging minimizes the complexity that arises through the...
A wireless power transfer (WPT) using inductive coupling for mobile phone charger is studied. The project is offer to study and fabricate solar WPT using inductive coupling for mobile phone charger that will give more information about distance is effect for WPT performance and WPT is not much influenced by the presence of hands, books and types of plastics. The components used to build wireless power...
For an efficient wireless charging to multiple devices, transmitter (TX) system should be able to control the transmitting power-level by monitoring number of receiver (RX) devices via their identification information and charging status and capacity of each receivers. This work proposes a one-way in-band communication scheme, corresponding system structure, and charging algorithm for efficient one-to-N...
The electromagnetic environment of a GSM wireless network inside a transport airplane is investigated to provide quantification of the electromagnetic interference (EMI) threat. An Airbus A319 with an excited 800MHz dipole inside its cabin is modelled in commercial electromagnetic simulation software EMPIRE-XCcel. The received power along window seats is calculated and validated using experimental...
A 1.3 pJ/b inductive coupling transceiver is proposed for Cm-range multimedia data transmission in mobile device applications. Its transmission time control (TTC) scheme and adaptive gain control (AGC) scheme reduce the energy consumption below to 1.3 pJ/b. Inductor with self-resonance frequency above 200 MHz achieves the data rate over 50 Mbps. The receiver sensitivity can be enhanced to increase...
Advances in micromachining technology can facilitate the integration of SAW (Surface Acoustic Wave) devices and CMOS circuitry on IC scale substrate for Monolithic fabrication. The optimal design and performance of these filters can be reached by using new Smart materials. The key component in the structure of the SAW device is the piezoelectric materials used which depends mainly on some important...
3D contactless technology based on capacitive coupling represents a promising solution for high-speed and low power signaling in vertically integrated chips. AC coupled interconnects do not suffer from mechanical stress, and the parasitic load is much reduced when compared to standard DC solutions, such as wire bonding and micro bumps. Communication system based on wireless interconnection scheme...
This contribution addresses the case when live packet-switched video is used to enrich circuit-switched speech calls in mobile telephony. Circuit-switched and packet-switched transmissions generally operate on completely different transmission paths resulting in different QoS in terms of delay and loss rates. In this case, video and audio data recorded at the same time are not multiplexed together...
