Traditionally, the most precise way to get the mutual inductance value is by a calculable mutual inductor. Here a new approach of measuring the mutual inductance at low frequency with compensation method is described. The mutual inductance is traced to the value of the frequency and resistance directly. The measurement uncertainty is 0.1 ppm and could be improved further.
We reapproach the characterization of inductance gradient and current distribution in electromagnetic rail launchers with multiple brush armature. A measurement procedure based on the use of a loop system mutually coupled with the launcher is illustrated for the case of a two-brush armature. We show how to estimate the current distribution between the brushes following the basic rules of the partial...
Short circuits in the electric circuits can be modeled by various equivalents. In the article problem of change of the input impedance of the coil is considered at short circuit of one or several turns.
The electric circuit of backlight operation has been analyzed with respect the impedance matching between the backlight of external electrode fluorescent lamps and a transformer of inverter. The resistance and capacitance of the system has been determined from phase difference between current and voltage and a Q-V Lissajous' graph from oscilloscope signals. The coupling coefficient and inductance...
The real time monitoring and control of resistance spot welds is a problem of critical importance in automotive and many other manufacturing industries. However, till this date, there are no reliable, low-cost, non-destructive techniques for predicting the size and strength of the weld nuggets in real time. This paper investigates the usage of voltage, current, and force data for the above tasks....
