This paper presents the prediction performance and analysis of the power output from grid-connected photovoltaic (GCPV) system using power model. The power model used is presently applied in the testing, commissioning and acceptance test of grid-connected systems procedure in Malaysia. This study involved outdoor testing and validation of model through mathematical formula, root mean square error...
This paper studied the output characteristics of the three GaAs solar cells in the condition of following sun. Then we established the simulation model of the solar cells in Matlab2009b/Simulink. The simulation results show that GaAs solar cell has good I-U output characteristics under spotlights. The highlight intensity lead to solar cells with the narrow width, short-circuit current (ISC) and output...
In this paper, monitoring system had been constructed to evaluate and analyze performance of grid-connected PV systems and monitored data have been collected. The approximated output models is designed and verified with monitored data. The performance and losses of PV systems are presented in a quantitative value for changing meteorological conditions. Reliability and validity of an evaluation and...
We present the use of swept wavelength interferometry for distributed fiber-optic temperature measurements in a nuclear reactor. The sensors consisted of 2-m segments of commercially available, single mode optical fibers. The interrogation technique is based on measuring the spectral shift of the intrinsic Rayleigh backscatter signal along the optical fiber and converting the spectral shift to temperature.
