Forschungsberichte. *** The Journal for Ethics and Moral Philosophy (ZEMO) is a biannual, peer-reviewed journal which covers all topics within the fields of Ethics and Moral Philosophy (Normative Ethics, Metaethics, Applied Ethics) as well as related disciplines. Contributions from other areas are welcome as long as they show strong relations to issues in Moral Philosophy. The journal is open to all periods, schools and traditions of ethical thought. The discussion of fundamental issues in moral philosophy, most notably, what ethics is and how it is possible, is given special emphasis. The main aim of the Journal for Ethics and Moral Philosophy is to inspire and promote controversial debates in Moral Philosophy for an international readership. Articles can be submitted in German or English. We would like to encourage young researchers in the philosophical community to introduce their suggestions into ongoing debates. We attach great importance to the variety of philosophical methods. The contributions should combine original ideas with methodological rigour and avoid technical jargon whenever possible, focusing on argument-driven proposals. The journal will be published twice a year in print and online. Each issue will contain original research to various topics, contrasting commentaries to specific issues, critical essays related to current spotlights of philosophical interest, and book reviews.

Recent evidence from psychological science and genetics suggests that genetic influences underlie all behavior as well as the most worrisome social inequalities. This may be considered to call into question traditional conceptions of agency and agent responsibility. They could be thought to be undermined if gene-environment transactions were sufficiently potent in influencing behaviors. Here we identify...
