The optical and electrical properties of 95%In2O3+5%SnO2/ns-Si and 95%In2O3+5%SnO2/Si heterostructures with films thickness of 6 and 12 nm were investigated. It was shown that texturing of the substrate increases the light absorption of heterostructure with ITO film with thickness of 6 nm. Besides, the current-voltage characteristic of this structure is significantly increasing. At the same time,...
The dye-induced spectral sensitization of microcrystals (MC) of a silver-halide emulsion is the main stage in the process of fabrication of the light-sensitive materials for holography. The spectral sensitization upon photo excitation of both the dye and the silver-halide MC occurs due to redistribution of the non-equilibrium charge carriers between the MC and the dye adsorbed at its surface. The...
Experimental investigations of the conditions of remote processing of metal plates with a thickness of 1.5–10 mm by radiation of a cw ytterbium fibre laser with the power up to 7.5 kW and radiation intensity varied from 105 to 106 W/cm2 have been carried out. It was shown that such main processing parameters as drilling time, maximal velocity and cutting efficiency become appreciably better in comparison...
The problem of modeling of mixed processes of Relaxed Optics (RO) is discussed. Correlations between photoinized, plasmic and thermal processes and radiated and unradiated relaxation are analyzed for various regimes of irradiation. The problem of creation stable structures is discussed too.
In the present paper, using the thin discontinuous Co films as examples we have investigated the influence of the shape of magnetic particles on the magneto-optical and optical properties of the nano-dispersive structures. Obtained results have confirmed the significant change of the components of the tensor of effective dielectric permittivity and subsequently of the magneto-optical and optical properties...
We study, both theoretically and by experiment, migration of the amplitude zeros within a fixed cross section of the edge-diffracted optical-vortex beam, when the screen edge performs permanent translation in the transverse plane from the beam periphery towards the axis. Generally, the amplitude zeros (optical-vortex cores) describe spiral-like trajectories. When the screen edge advances uniformly,...
We present an experimental study of the shift with temperature of widely-spaced FWM parametric bands generated in an ethanol-inflltrated photonic crystal fiber. We report broadband tuning of 175 nm and over 500 nm for the signal and idler bands, respectively, achieved through the thermo-optic effect. Numerical calculations were carried out and show good agreement with experimental data.
Effects of polyurethane matrix polarity on the spectral, nonlinear-optic and switching properties of thiopyrilo-4-tricarbocyanine phototropic dye were studied. The experimental results of passive Q-switching for the neodymium laser by Q-switches based on aliphatic polyurethane of high dielectric permittivity were presented. Positive influence of polymer matrix polarity on high-efficient generation...
Today more and more areas of optoelectronics used oxide materials, as a result, their study, is very important. Therefore, in this paper, we study optical properties of magnesium oxide films.
In the present paper curried out a comparative analysis between the stroboscopic and phase-modulated methods of fluorescence analysis of optically solid media. It is shown that both methods have advantages and disadvantages, but the stroboscopic method is more sensitive. Parameters of fluorescence spectroscopy, like: radiation spectrum, life duration, quantum yield, fluorescence anisotropy — represent...
The paper describes an interconnection between serial placement of the two diffraction gratings and an increase of energy efficiency of defined diffraction order. In particular, diffraction efficiency for considered phase sinusoidal gratings in the first order is more than 40%.
Present paper deals with the studying of angular and spectral dependencies of ellipsometric parameters of multilayer structures with a thin layer of nanocrystalline silicon. Mathematical modeling of angular dependence of ellipsometric parameters showed large amount of voids in the nanosilicon layer. When the thickness of nanosilicon layer is less than 50 nm the properties of the layer and the surface...
Present paper aims to design, develop and build a compact digital module for diffractional spectrometer. Optical spectrum, which can be is projected by a diffraction grating on a CCD detector, sampled in a 10-bit analog to digital converter to the microcontroller memory and finally transmitted to the computer via USB port. The spectrometer operates in the optical and near-infrared region, approximately...
In this study the nonlinear optical response of porous μm sized carbonaceous particles (cp) was studied within the self-action of 42 ps laser pulses at 1064 nm. Photoinduced absorption efficiency (PAE) of air-thin layer of cp was examined versus the total surface area of cp. The porous thin layer shows predictably discrete response, depending on the level of the surface oxidation. Surprisingly, the...
Results of calculations of spatial distribution of nonequilibrium carriers in semiconductor heterostructures pumped by electron beam as well as the dependence of the threshold current density on the electron energy for lasers based on such structures are presented. It is shown that for minimization of the threshold current density at low (<10keV) energies of electrons, the active layer (quantum...
Transformation of energy flows of an electromagnetic Airy pulse by a plane boundary of a dielectric is considered. It is shown that a problem formulation is equivalent to a case of a permittivity sharp change in a half space at zero moment of time. It allows to use the resolvent method for solution of the Volterra integral equation describing the phenomenon. Explicit expressions for transmitted and...
We proposed and investigated two-channel photonic crystal demultiplexer that has much smaller dimensions than those used currently in existing optical transmission systems. We also studied the propagation of the TE wave through the investigated photonic crystal demultiplexer.
