This work develops the implementation of a network of devices with active sensors[1] to capture online data related of the physical maturation of the vineyards of Malbec[2][3] in middle west Argentina, the transmission of the collected data to an information concentrator through wireless networks, the storage of the data in a repository residing on a portable personal computer and the subsequent process of exploitation of information to determine indicators required for the harvest at the optimum time. The set of values of the sensed variables (temperature, humidity, among others) are very important information that complements to that winemakers obtain either by direct visual inspection, manual sampling and laboratory analysis[4]. The adoption of this technology by winemakers and wine producers enables timely, accurate and complete tracking of a set of physical variables that if combined with, for example, forecasts of weather and solar radiation, may anticipate the quality of the strains with much more precision.
