In this paper, 26 kinds of macroporous resins were screened for their abilities to absorb inhibitory substances against aflatoxin biosynthesis from the fermentation supernatant of Bacillus subtilis Hitwh-B05. DM130 resin was chosen as the best according to its higher adsorption capacities for inhibitory substances but less for pigments than the other 25 resins. Its adsorption capacities of inhibitory substances calculated by the inhibition of NA formation and mycelium growth were 1.6582 and 1.1195 respectively, while the adsorption capacity of pigments was 0.2394. The selected macroporous resin will facilitate the purification of aflatoxin inhibitory substances from bacterial fermentation broth which could be used in biocontrol of aflatoxin contamination in foods effectively in the near future.
