Pyrochlore La 2 Zr 2 O 7 nano-powders with cubic structure have been firstly prepared by Molten Salts method. These nano-powders were prepared at a relatively low temperature using La(NO 3 ) 3 ·6H 2 O and ZrOCl 2 ·8H 2 O as raw materials, as well as K 2 SO 4 (anhydrous) and Na 2 SO 4 (anhydrous) as molten salts and dispersant. XRD, SEM and TEM were used to characterize the composition, morphology, size of prepared products. It is found that the average size of La 2 Zr 2 O 7 powders ranges from 60nm to 90nm. The reactive time on the preparation of lanthanum zirconate nano-powders was also studied.
