Artykuł poświęcony jest zagadnieniu statystycznego modelowania lojalno-ści klientów w ubezpieczeniach komunikacyjnych – ubezpieczeniu odpowiedzialności cywilnej posiadaczy pojazdów mechanicznych (OC p.p.m.) oraz ubezpieczeniu autocasco (AC). Obowiązkowe ubezpieczenie OC p.p.m. chroni przed finansowymi konsekwencja-mi szkód wyrządzonych osobom trzecim w związku z ruchem pojazdu, natomiast dobro-wolne ubezpieczenie AC pokrywa koszty związane z naprawą pojazdu uszkodzonego w wyniku zdarzeń losowych lub jego kradzieżą. Głównym celem pracy jest identyfikacja czynników, które wpływają na decyzję klienta o kontynuowaniu umowy ubezpieczenia AC w tym samym zakładzie ubezpieczeń lub o zmianie ubezpieczyciela. W tym celu zostały przeanalizowane dane pochodzące z bazy danych Ubezpieczeniowego Funduszu Gwarancyjnego. Dodatkowo została zbadana korelacja między lojalnością klienta a liczbą szkód z tytułu zawartej umowy AC.
