The paper presents theoretical simulations to evaluate the influence of wind direction and velocity and the slope angle on effective rainfall intensity and final velocity of surface runoff along the slope. Starting from the movement of a single rain water drop, authors tried to predict an entire rain intensity under conditions of horizontal wind and flat non-horizontal slope. The results obtained show relationships between these parameters. It was found that the rainfall intensity in the pIane of the slope differed considerably from the potential intensity measured in the pluviometer and this discrepancy deepens with the increase in the inclination of the slope. Presented relationships can be used for engineering calculations pertaining to the protection of soils from water erosion.
