This paper presented an optimal design on GC/SAW gas sensors by adjusting the resonant cavity of the SAW device used in the sensor system. Experimental results from the developed sensor system towards dimethyl methylphosphonate (DMMP) detection indicated that short the resonant cavity of the SAW resonator will concentrate the acoustic energy to the central area, hence, higher sensitivity was achieved.
Gas detection apparatus based on SAW/GC was gained by combining Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW) gas sensor with gas chromatography (GC). Because of its features as high sensitivity, more detectable gas types and resolution of crossed-interference, the SAW/GC gas detection apparatus is perfect for the gas composition analysis in the complicated atmosphere background especially. In this paper, the main...
This paper presents some advances in polymer-coated surface acoustic wave (SAW) gas sensor research towards to organophosphorous compounds detection relating to the response mechanism analysis by using some new chemically interactive materials and deposition techniques, and SAW oscillator with superior frequency stability, which are illustrated and discussed in some detail. A 300MHz SAW based delay-line-oscillator...
