The single-mode to multimode transition in standing-wave quantum cascade lasers exhibits a harmonically mode-locked regime skipping cavity modes. The large sideband separation unravels a new mechanism for frequency comb generation seeded by the RNGH instability.
Understanding the causality behind the observational data is of great importance to a lot of real world applications, e.g., the improvement of Quality of Service. Non-Gaussianity has been exploited in numerous causal discovery methods for observational linear acyclic data. Transforming non-Gaussianity into indirect metrics is a conventional solution employed by existing methods, although this usually...
With the prevailing of mobile phones and online video contents, the demand for mobile online video is increasing. The desire, however, is held down by the high mobile traffic cost. To solve this problem, an off-the-shelf solution is WiFi-Direct (WFD), which is widely available on a majority of mobile devices. There is, however, no systematic study of WFD-based group data transfer and cooperative video...
Real-time video communications has been incorporated into many instant communication tools such as ichat, Skype, QQ, etc. Real-time video communications has low delivery delay requirement, which imposes great challenge to the provisioning of such services. To address this problem, in this paper, we propose a selective redundant transmission mechanism to support real-time streaming on multi-interface...
In this paper, we present a numerical simulation study of nitride-based p-i-n ultraviolet bandpass photodetectors, which was designed with a high Al composition AlGaN unipolar barrier layer. The AlGaN unipolar blocking layers act as potential barrier that reduce the collection of carriers generated by high energy photons in p-Al0.1Ga0.9N short-wave filter layer. Compared to the conventional nitride-based...
In this paper, we discovered an advanced GLLH Invisible Electromagnetic Cloak with relative EM parameter not less than one for any thickness spherical annular cloak, i.e., relative electric permittivity εr ≥ 1, εθ ≥ 1, εϕ ≥ 1 and magnetic permeability μr ≥ 1, μθ ≥ 1, μϕ ≥ 1 in the GLLH cloak sphere annular layer, for any 0 < R1 ≤ r ≤ R2. We completely and theoretically proved that our GLLH cloak...
In this paper, we propose a new version of advanced global integral and local differential AGILD modeling and inversion. In the outside of enough large 3D sphere, a annular spherical layer to be selected as absorption zone SL. We install GLLH inner cloak EM material in SL. In sphere annular SL layer, we propose GLLH Green's SL layer integral equation of Electromagnetic field for AGILD method. Making...
In response to the call of paperless meeting put forward by the national grid and reduce the waste of resources requirements, this paper introduces an intelligent review terminal for power marketing business expansion project, by studying the Cutting-edge technologies such as keyword retrieval, semantic analysis, the customizable and automatable knowledge base and intelligent analysis. At the beginning...
The stability problem of a dynamic quantized UAV airborne system with time-varying delay and packet losses is studied in this paper. Sufficient condition for asymptotic stability of the system is considered in terms of matrix inequalities. Finally an illustrative example demonstrates the effectiveness of the proposed method.
We demonstrated the feasibility of multicomponent trace gas sensing using a tunable sampled-grating distributed Bragg reflector QCL. We have achieved continuous fine tuning over 10 cm−1 to retrieve N2O, H2O and CO.
Failure modes and failure mechanisms under external stress generated by high temperature, electricity and moisture were studied with 0.13-µm/6-level copper-based FPGA with FC-PBGA package. Case Studies and the results indicate that FC-PBGA devices have three main kinds of failure modes: Vcc electrically short to GND, Vcc+ electrically short to Vcc- and I/O pins electrically open to GND. The thermal...
Ultra-dense network deployment is a clear trend considered for the next generation networks. To allow flexible deployment of small cells, self-backhauled small cell architecture is one of the important types of the future ultra-dense network architecture. In this paper, densification and virtualization are considered in both cell and user aspects. Virtualization of radio access network provides a...
An early stopping criterion is proposed for low-density lattice codes (LDLC) to reduce the number of decoding iterations. The stopping criterion is based on a new metric which is used to predict the convergence of the iterative decoding algorithm for LDLC. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed criterion can decrease the average iteration number considerably while the decoding performance...
As one of the most popular recommender technologies, Collaborative Filtering (CF) has been widely deployed in industry due to its simplicity and interpretability. However, it is facing great challenge to generate accurate similarities between users or items because of data sparsity. This will cause second order error in the process of using weighted sum as prediction. To alleviate this problem, we...
SRAMs built on Carbon Nanotube Field Transistors (CNFET) are promising alternatives to conventional CMOS-based SRAMs, due to their advantages in terms of both power consumption and noise margin. However, non-ideal Carbon Nanotube (CNT) fabrication process generates metallic-CNTs (m-CNTs) along with semiconductor-CNTs (s-CNTs), rendering correlated faulty cells along the growth direction of the m-CNTs...
Cyber-Physical System (CPS) is a system that integrates physical system with cyber capability in order to improve the physical performance [1]. Up to now, it has been widely applied in people's daily lives. After research and discussion in recent years, we believe that most researchers already have a comprehensive understanding about CPS. This paper systematically introduced CPS's conception, development...
Anonymous communication system has been hot topic in the field of information security, and attack techniques against anonymous systems are endless. This paper classifies and summarizes the study of attacks against anonymous communication system in recent years, including passive attacks and active attacks.
Traffic congestion significantly degrades the quality of life in urban environments. It results in lost time, wasted fuel resources and reduced air quality for urban residents. Recent work in real-time, schedule-driven control of traffic signal networks has introduced new possibilities for reducing congestion in urban environments. However so far, this work has focused mainly on achieving more efficient...
We demonstrated a wide CW wavelength tuning range of 18 cm-1 for an epi-up mounted distributed feedback (DFB) quantum cascade laser (QCL) around 4.5 m, via current change. The wavelength tuning coefficient of an epi-up mounted DFB QCL is about 2.2 times of that of an epi-down mounted one. The 3dB modulation bandwidths of an epi-up and an epi-down mounted DFB QCLs are 15 kHz and 400 kHz, respectively.
Recommendation can be reduced to a sub-problem of link prediction, with specific nodes (users and items) and links (similar relations among users/items, and interactions between users and items). However, the previous link prediction algorithms need to be modified to suit the recommendation cases since they do not consider the separation of these two fundamental relations: similar or dissimilar and...
