A two-channel AC voltage source based on digital synthesis is reported. We present measurement results of some of the key properties at 1 kHz with applications like digital impedance bridges in mind. Measurements show that amplitude ratio of the channels has a stability (Allan standard deviation) of one part in 108 for a 30 min measurement. The phase difference between the channels is also stable...
This paper describes the first measurement results with a square-wave based Josephson ac voltage standard. Using a planar multijunction thermal converter as a reference the accuracy was found to be in the µV/V range at 1 V level at 62.5 Hz and 1 kHz. A systematic error of 1.3 µV/V was observed.
Long-term stability of a dc voltage standard based on a capacitive microelectromechanical system (MEMS) is investigated. Square-wave voltage actuation was used to cancel the effect of slow charging appearing in the dielectric layers and capacitor plate surfaces of the MEMS capacitor. The key properties of a MEMS capacitor and the operational principle and the measurement results of the apparatus that...
Long term stability of a DC voltage standard based on a MEMS plate capacitor was investigated. Square wave voltage excitation was used to cancel the effect of slow charging appearing in the dielectric layers and capacitor plate surfaces of the MEMS capacitor. The key properties of a MEMS capacitor and the operational principle of the apparatus that implements the voltage standard are explained.
Rolling back to previously visited Web pages and opening multiple browser windows or tabs at the same time are common activities in a Web browsing session on a PC. When using a mobile device for Web browsing, these usage patterns have to be supported seamlessly in the mobile environment under the additional constraint of limited screen real estate. In this paper, we introduce a solution called rolling...
A square-wave based AC Josephson apparatus is under development at MIKES. A new high-resolution custom made sine wave source has been developed and is being tested. A simple scheme for calibration of thermal converters (TC) with an AC Josephson system is suggested.
