A new hybrid method, the DG-FDTD/IPO, has recently been proposed to analyze surrounded antennas mounted on large platforms. In this paper the capabilities of this method to go through such large and complex problems are shown. More precisely, a deep analysis of the far-field radiated for a canonical antenna-on-platform scenario is proposed.
This paper presents a new simulation strategy based on the hybridization of a full wave time domain multi-scale method, the Dual-Grid FDTD (DG-FDTD), and the Physical Optics (PO). This new method aims at simulating antennas mounted on large conducting platforms and whose nearby surrounding environment is very complex. Typical application fields of the hybrid DG-FDTD/PO method are the computation of...
This paper presents a rigorous analysis of a satellite antenna mounted onto its platform using the Dual-Grid FDTD method. In the first step of the method, the isolated antenna is analyzed. The study of the surrounded antenna is carried out in the second step of the DG-FDTD method. The results obtained in this realistic test case show the significant influence of the environment over the antenna.
In this paper, the TR method has been applied in electromagnetism. Theoretical results were compared with numerical data from an FDTD code. Different simulations in a reverberation cavity helped to establish the link between modal density and focusing quality (through the STN ratio). It has also been demonstrated that addition of diffracting objects in a reverberation chamber increases the signal...
In this article is a problem of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) presented bringing in several cavities, mutually coupled between holes of small size with respect to the wavelength. The coupling function between cables placed in multiple cavities is estimated by a numerical method based on a topological approach. The intermediate data of the problem allow to bring to highlight the various types...
In this paper, we first re-examine the model of small apertures with equivalent dipoles and obtain, for each aperture, 3 basis functions that only need a local meshing of the aperture, the environment being replaced with an infinite perfectly conducting plane. In a second step, we plan to introduce this representation of the fields close to the aperture in a full wave 3D modeling. Two strategies can...
