This paper presents a directive quasi‐Yagi antenna designed to ISM band application at 2.45 GHz. The directors application was analyzed, compared and the better performance antenna was manufactured. The obtained measured results presented an agreement with the performed simulations 1% error and bandwidth 27.39%, from 2.3 GHz to 3.03 GHz.
This article presents a proposal to measure the Bone Mineral Density (BMD) as a backup in the diagnosis of osteoporosis. An antenna arrangement, tuned to a frequency of general and medical use, is used to measure the relative attenuation of the signal on several samples of bovine bone, silica and bone powder. By implementing a Support Vector Machine (SVM) it is possible to establish patterns to classify...
The characteristics of a microstrip filter with a tilted ground plane are investigated. An analysis is performed to compare the properties of a microstrip filter with a flat ground plane to those of microstrip filters with tilted ground plane with different inclination angles, as well as types. The performed computational tests in laboratory showed an improvement of up to 22% in the bandwidth of the...
