This paper aims to improve efficiency in permanent magnet synchronous (PM) motor drives. In this paper, a nonlinear PI controller is developed to control speed of PMSM, it can adjustment of controller parameters automatically in order to achieve the best control effect in control process. Simulation results show that it was faster than the traditional controller response and have a smaller overshoot.
