In this paper it is proposed a method for the reduction with 20-30% of the reactive elements (condensers and inductance) of some rectifiers with near sinusoidal input currents (RNSIC). The method consists of connecting in parallel two RNSIC-1 converters, dimensioned for half of the nominal power and whose input currents are phased with an angle of 30deg-40deg through the adequate selection of the...
In this paper is presented a new converter for two-quadrant. In AC/DC transfer mode it works as a rectifier with near sinusoidal input currents, and in DC/AC transfer mode it works as an inverter with continuous functioning transistors, not PWM. Some indications for design are given, and a comparison is drawn with PWM converter for two-quadrant.
