This work introduces the first high-volume manufacturable metal-fuse technology in a 22nm tri-gate high-k metal-gate CMOS process. A high-density array featuring a 16.4μm2 1T1R bit cell is presented that delivers a record low program voltage of 1.6V. This low-voltage operability allows the array to be coupled with logic-voltage power delivery circuits. A charge pump voltage doubler operating on a...

We report the fractional second-harmonic Talbot effect associating with the χ(2) in periodically-poled LiTaO3 (PPLT) crystals. Our results show that the images are sensitive to the duty circle and the background of the array.
One of the objectives in the “MetaBeam” research project was the development of a high-gain pencil-beam array antenna based on composite right/left-handed (CRLH) metamaterial transmission-lines, shortly referred to as CRLH meta-lines. This paper presents an initial prototype for this work-package. We aimed for applications within the 24 GHz ISM band, like automotive radar systems, where low-cost is...
Reconfigurable computing (RC) has been viewed as an efficient solution to achieve high performance and flexibility. Hardware tasks can be dynamically placed on and removed from reconfigurable platforms. Field-programmable gate arrays (FPGA) provide partially runtime reconfiguration (PRTR) at runtime. However, this reconfiguration will lead to more time overhead. An efficient algorithm to manage empty...
An EM based straight forward design and pattern synthesis technique for series fed microstrip patch array antennas is proposed. An optimization of each antenna element (λ/4-transmission line, λ/2-patch, λ/4-transmission line) of the array is performed separately. By introducing an equivalent circuit along with an EM parameter extraction method, each antenna element can be optimized for its resonance...
