We report on a study of the third-order nonlinear optical properties of Fe2O3 thin films, grown by the method of laser deposition on silica (SiO2) substrates. The films were synthesized on substrates at different temperatures (293 K and 800 K) and under different oxygen pressures (0.1 Pa, 0.5 Pa, 1.0 Pa). The resulting films were amorphous, if grown on cold substrates (293 K), or polycrystalline otherwise...
Broadband optical limiting of the ns laser radiation in visible and near IR spectrum range in nanostructured films of silicon carbide β-SiC(3C) studies are presented. The nature of the optical limiting mechanisms is discussed. The contributions of the optical nonlinear absorption and nonlinear scattering are determined and measured. It is shown that the nonlinear absorption is related to the two-step...
Summary form only given. Silicon carbide nanocrystal films have been synthesized by new original technique of direct ion deposition. Composition and structure of bonds between carbon and silicon atoms have been studied by means of photo-electron spectroscopy using XPS-800 Kratos spectrometer with MgK radiation. The spectra have been calibrated using data obtained for bond energies for reference SiC...
