In recent years, VANET as the key communication networking technology has been attracted by academia and industries with remarkable development. However, there is still many shortcomings especially in communication efficiency where routing algorithm is one of them. In the design phase of routing algorithms, only very few features of vehicle nodes are considered manually to improve the classic algorithms...
In Wireless Mesh Networks (WMNs), supporting Quality of Service (QoS) to enable a rich portfolio of applications/real-time multimedia applications is foreseen to be vital for the success of next generation networking technologies. However, today's cutting edge standards are not perfectly equipped to cater to this task. These standards come with an inherent complexity and suffer from innate problems...
BER-aware-based light path setup approach is proposed for GMPLS-controlled optical networks. The approach takes BER parameter into consideration during the light path setup process, including two BER information distribution schemes and one BER-based routing calculation strategy. Among the two distribution schemes, Signaling-based BER Distribution (SBD) is based on RSVP-TE signaling protocol and Advertisement-based...
Wireless Mesh Networking (WMN) emerges as a new technology to reshape the broadband industry towards a more efficient and cost effective connectivity. The WMN has been the ideal technology for the next generation wireless community networks that offers efficient digital engagements and an ideal platform for promoting social partnerships over both urban and rural communities. This is essential for...
Wireless Mesh Network (WMN) has been considered as a key emerging technology to construct next generation wireless communication networks. It combines the advantages of both mobile ad-hoc network (MANET) and traditional fixed network, attracting significant industrial and academic attentions. In WMN, the load balancing becomes a hot topic in enhancing the QoS provision as a load balanced WMN exhibits...
Wireless mesh networks have been attracting significant attention due to its promising technology. It is becoming a major avenue for the fourth generation of wireless mobility. Communication in large-scale wireless networks can create bottlenecks for scalable implementations of computationally intensive applications. A class of crucially important communication patterns that have already received...
The active beacon based network monitoring tries to estimate the transfer delay of a link e by the difference of round-trip times from a beacon host to the two endpoints of e. For efficiency, we consider the problem of placing a minimum set of beacons to monitor all links of a given TCP/IP network e.g., the Internet. We propose an idea called L-beacon, i.e., a beacon can monitor only links within...
In this paper a differentiated optimal mobility support in IPv6 is presented in order to provide efficient mobile IPv6 implementation based on the movement domain. We explore the inefficient mechanisms of MIPv6 in current network architecture, and put forward our ideas. Analysis on the new scheme shows that the differentiate optimal mobile IPv6 can lower the cost and raise the processing efficiency.
This paper describes a routing optimizing method on structured P2P network. By utilizing redirect mechanism, it gradually gathers the nodes' information at the same sub-network, thus it dramatically reduces the average searching path length, and it does not introduce more traffic into the network. It successfully solves the mismatching problem which disturbs the structured P2P network for a long time...
