We present an octave-spanning Ti:sapphire laser quasi-synchronously pumped by a frequency-doubled Yb:KLu(WO4)2 thin-disk oscillator. The system features a self-starting behavior and can be stabilized with respect to its carrier-envelope-offset phase.
We report on the combination of an octave-spanning Ti:sapphire oscillator and a frequency-doubled thin-disk laser used as pump source. Self-starting and self-synchronization of the two lasers has been observed. We demonstrate for the first time the stabilization of the carrier-envelope phase of a Ti:sapphire laser pumped by a mode-locked pump source.
