Lensless microscopy, also known as in-line digital holography, is a 3D quantitative imaging method used in various fields including microfluidics and biomedical imaging. To estimate the size and 3D location of microscopic objects in holograms, maximum likelihood methods have been shown to outperform traditional approaches based on 3D image reconstruction followed by 3D image analysis. However, the...
The use of an “inverse problems” algorithm for self-calibration of a digital holographic set-up is proposed. Taking into account a precise imaging model for the process of calibrated pattern hologram makes possible an accurate estimation of setup parameters. Self-calibration of an astigmatic reference beam holographic configuration and measurement of the camera pixel fill factor is demonstrated.
Pattern matching methods can be used in the context of digital holography to perform the task of object recognition, classification and position extraction directly from the hologram and not from the reconstructed optical yield. These approaches exploit the differences between the objects holographic signatures caused by class and depth position of the objects. In this talk we will show that such...
A digital hologram is a 2-D recording of the diffraction fringes created by 3-D objects under coherent lighting. These fringes encode the shape and 3-D location information of the objects. By simulating re-lighting of the hologram, the 3-D wave field can be reconstructed and a volumetric image of the objects recovered. Rather than performing object detection and identification in this reconstructed...
As is well known, the long-lasting influence in Poland of Hoffmanowa’s conservative pedagogical treatise "Keepsake of a Good Mother" (1819) was criticized by more progressive Polish women writers of the 19th century, such as Narcyza Żmichowska and Eliza Orzeszkowa. But the unexpected success of that book in other Slav countries later in the 19th century, especially in Bohemia, is less well...
The aim of the article is to describe the extraordinarily animated and extensive relationships between Polish and Czech literature in the second half of the 19th century. Literary correspondence is extremely clearly revealed with regard to the Czech writer Karolina Světla and her reception in Poland and the Polish writer Eliza Orzeszkowa together with her reception in Czech. The article attempts to...
