The control of accumulation systems of electrical energy represents a very complex problem, especially in the terms of technical equipment, measurement, and control algorithms. In order to control such system dynamically from the viewpoint of energy flow, i.e., particularly with regard to increasing quality of electrical energy, all processes have to be performed with relatively high sampling frequency...
The paper focuses on the charging of LiFePO batteries with big output voltage. This voltage is necessary to feed a frequency inverter circuit with approx. output of 7.5 kW. This is a part of the solution applied during the Pre-seed project solved in the past at VSB — TUO Ostrava. Due to the unavailability of standard chargers, we provide a solution based on the Siemens 6RA80 controlled rectifier.
Control of electrical power systems with attached units of accumulation represents a relatively complex problem, both in terms of technical equipment and in terms of the measurement and the control algorithms. In order to control system dynamically from the viewpoint of energy flows, so particularly with regard to increasing quality of electrical energy, all processes must be processed with relatively...
This article deals with description of the system of converters for electric accumulation. This system is designed by Technical university of Ostrava in Czech Republic as a two stepped system. This article contains design of such a system together with results of experimental measurement and simulations. Also the design of the system for supervisory control is briefly described here.
This paper describes the problems, which occurred when optimising the drive for a battery-powered electric locomotive. Possible solutions are shown herein for setting the electric drive, which is composed of an induction motor, fed by a frequency converter with vector control. The aforementioned problems are tackled via the cooperation between the workplaces of authors of this paper at VSB-Technical...
Paper describes an online diagnostic and control unit which can control, diagnose and partially do the prognosis of EV drive. For the EV drive control is used a vector control. Methods of processing the variables are based on fault analysis of rotating systems according frequencies at current spectra of EV induction motor. Moreover, unit can detect short circuits and monitor a partial discharge activity...
