A planar, inductively coupled-fed, crossed dipole with broadband characteristics is proposed for an ultra-high frequency radio frequency identification tag. By using an inductively coupled feeding technique, the proposed tag antenna achieves a good conjugate impedance matching with the tag chip and yields a −10 dB impedance bandwidth of 92 MHz.
