This article discusses the step-up model of DC-DC converter with auto-transformer (2C2-AT). The simulation model of this circuit was created. The results of properties investigation of the proposed DC-DC converter and its application in spacecraft were presented. Also, the converter operating mode analysis for different values of the input inductance and transformer leakage inductance was performed.
The use of adaptive estimator based on the flux linkage algorithm gives an opportunity to eliminate the speed sensor and rotor position sensor and to reduce the mass and dimensions parameters of the drive. Estimator provides the actual values of back electromotive force of the synchronous machine and that makes it possible to apply permanent magnet synchronous machine efficiently. The article presents...
This paper considers scheme of primary AC power supply system for autonomous objects. As well this paper presents the characteristic features of power supply system, its structural model and the simulation results are given.
DC-DC converters are used as secondary power sources. There are many different topologies of such converters, each of which has its own advantages and disadvantages. It is also possible to combine them in order to ensure a more reliable power supply. This paper presents the new scheme of multiple port DC-DC converter and its simulation results in three operating modes.
This paper presents a brief review of “soft” switching power converters. It includes resonant, quasi-resonant, multi-resonant converters with different switching pattern. It also takes in scope converters with active current shape fixation. Some words are provided to disclose SiC and GaN transistors propositions in application considered.
The paper presents the results of laboratory tests of the prototype of electric engine starting system. The electric starter mode has been tested on a three-stage synchronous generator. The purposes of the tests were to develop control algorithms and to verify prototype's performance while feeding three-stage synchronous generator. The preliminary tests of the power unit of prototype have also been...
This paper considers scheme of primary power generation system with low output voltage. Total power of this system is 3.5 kW. Paper also presents configuration and experimental results for one channel of power generation system.
This paper, considers a mathematical model the starter system for gas turbine engines. Model of the investigated three-stage synchronous generator has been built in the dq-coordinates. The obtained model allows one to configure the machine parameters in a wide range, as well as receive information about currents and voltages major electrical components of the machine. Mathematical modeling shown efficiency...
Growth of a number of different electrical equipment on board of autonomous objects requires the creation of new high reliability power supply systems operating even in an emergency case. This paper presents a new version of implementation of the uninterruptible power system (UPS) based on parallel operation of AC/DC and DC/DC converters. Such structure allows to supply the system from two independent...
This paper considers an example of a control system for semiconductor converters with pulse-width modulation (PWM). Also the structure of the control system and an example of the proposed system implementation for a DC/DC converter are outlined.
The advances of digital control systems require a new approach for design and development of power electronics devices. Modern simulation methods allow creating control systems of power converters based on their real microprocessor implementation. Thus, a digital control algorithm of device can be completely recreated, debugged and verified in the model. This paper proposes the control algorithm for...
This paper presents the implementation of the analog to digital converter (ADC) in a hybrid digital control system for high power converter with increased switching frequency. The field-programmable gate array (FPGA) is control element of the DC/AC converter. FPGA does not have internal ADC. This ADC implementation allows convert analog signal with 2 MHz frequency.
A hardware model of the input converter with high-frequency intermediate link at the rated load are given in this paper. The input converter is a part of an off-line power-supply system and consists of controlled rectifier and DC/DC converter. The implementation of high-frequency power circuit is based on a modular approach.
This paper touches the problem of development modern semiconductor converter of the electrical energy for mining electrical equipment supply. The converteris builtin line with multilevel topology. It is be able to overcome fundamental disadvantages of the existing systems. Also, the paper presents experimental results.
The paper proposes some results of developing and examination of a power generation system of alternating current for autonomous unit. Experimental results of examination are presented in the paper.
