Web Security Gateway (WSG) is a new type of network security product that maintains the security of trusted networks. In this paper, a WSG model for evaluating WSG performance is presented. This paper advances discussion of previous studies on series services under multiple service windows. The proposed model consists of a two-stage queuing system. The first stage is a network layer simulation. The...
Exploring along the road of More Moore with integration degree increasing significantly, different wafer level 3-D technologies are developed facing various circumstances. Thermal issue has become an important concern in IC designing and manufacturing. Fan-out wafer level package (FOWLP), as one of the most popular packaging trends lately, compared to high cost through silicon via (TSV) based 3D integration...
In the optical region, the global scattering center (SC) model is important for target recognition and data compression. However, the existing methods are difficult to be accomplished because of the requirement for large storage or time consumption. To solve this problem, a new easy-to-implement method is proposed in this paper. By employing a modified random sample consensus method, all candidate...
Turning non-autonomic ventricular cells into pacemaking cells is believed to hold the key for making a bio-pacemaker that could potentially treat patients with cardiac conduction diseases. In this article, we analyze the effects of various membrane ion channel currents on ventricular automaticity induced by reducing the inward-rectifier K+ current (IK1). It was found that the L-type calcium current...
PaaS is one of the most popular paradigms of cloud computing and the performance guarantee of PaaS-oriented applications has been critically concerned. Performance models, such as a Layer Queue Network (LQN) model, are efficient at performance guaranteeing in a highly dynamic computing environment for their capabilities of capacity planning. However, it is not a trivial work to build and employ such...
Computational modeling of cardiac electrophysiology is a powerful tool for studying arrhythmia mechanisms. In particular, cardiac models are useful for gaining insights into experimental studies, and in the foreseeable future they will be used by clinicians to improve therapy for the patients suffering from complex arrhythmias. Such models are highly intricate, both in their geometric structure and...
A general path loss model for in-room radio channels is proposed. The model is based on experimental observations of the behavior of the delay-power spectrum in closed rooms. In such a room, the early part of the spectrum observed at different positions typically consists of a dominant component (peak) that vanishes as the transmitter-receiver distance increases; the late part decays versus distance...
Compared with other large-scale warfare simulation systems, wargame, as a traditional type of warfare simulation, has the advantages of low cost, convenience, practicability, etc. This paper discusses the system structure and class model based on “Future: Korea War” which is a product of U.S. “One Small Step” company's Millennium Wars series strategic-level wargames, and designs wargame umpire rule...
A new neural network model to predict hysteresis output in piezoelectric actuator is presented. An improved Preisach operator description is given and analyzed in detail. The hysteresis model is implemented with a Neural Network Model to construct a classical Preisach model. The experiment results show the validity for predicting the output of hysteresis in the piezoelectric actuators.
Monte Carlo Method has been proven very successful for non-linear and non-Gaussian estimation problems. However, a Monte Carlo filter usually has a lot of samples, which increase the computational load greatly. This paper presents threshold constraint into Monte Carlo. The target model is defined by the color information of the tracked object. Use the Bhattacharyya coefficient to get the similarity...
The Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT) is an important problem faced to the export of China. Based on the number differences of TBT notifications between countries, we propose the concept and computational method of the technical barrier coefficient. By means of price-production and price-demand functions, a trade model with a developed country and an under-developing country is designed. The available...
The characteristic of high precise and real-time simulation of satellite navigation observation was analyzed in this paper. And the principle, function composing and high fidelity mathematical models used in observation simulation were studied. Because of the different time constrains to realize different models, the architecture of simulation system was mainly divided into three parts: namely non...
