In this paper, two-dimensional photonic crystal band-edge lasers of triangular lattice is designed based on photonic band diagrams and the organic material PTT acts as the gain media. The gain medium consists of a small molecule blue emitting dye 2-(4-(pyren-l-yl)phe-nyl)triphenylene (PTT) doped in poly(N-vinylcarbazole) PVK. The emission characteristics are presented. The lasing phenomenon is occurred...
Lasing action of a composite organic thin-film laser with a 2nd-order two-dimensional photonic crystal structure of triangular lattice is investigated. The analysis of band theory is adopted and the emission pattern is also presented.

In this paper, we report a study of lasing characteristics of a composite organic thin-film laser with gain medium of 4-(Dicyanomethylene)-2-tertbutyl-6-(1, 1, 7, 7-tetramethyljulolidin-4-yl-vinyl)-4H-pyran (DCJTB) doped in Poly(N-vinylcarbazole) (PVK) on a 2D photonic crystal structure of triangular lattice.
