In the present work a new numerical model using, the cavity model along with circuit theory has been used to calculate input impedance of a ring resonator loaded by a microstrip line. This type of model has not been investigated yet. A ring resonator is fed by a narrow microstrip line underneath the ring. The proposed structure is analyzed and the input impedance is computed. The computed results...
Loading of microstrip antennas provides dual frequency, tenability and compactness. In this paper a theoretical method is developed to calculate various parameters of loaded annular ring antenna via. Shorting pins. The pins are located symmetrically i.e. equispaced along the circumference of the annular ring. Various parameters such as input impedance, bandwidth, return loss, quality factor and radiation...
In the present communication a new method for calculation of various parameters of an annular ring antenna is proposed using extended cavity model. The model is easier and intuitive than the full wave analysis. The properties of return loss, radiation pattern and quality factor of ring antenna are calculated and compared with the simulated results of the existing model.
In this paper a theoretical method for the measurement of resonant frequency of an annular ring antenna is presented with symmetric shorts using extended cavity model. The pins are loaded away from the centre of patch and the pins are equi-spaced on the circular disc. The shorting pins have been considered as inductive impedances at the frequency of interest. The results are presented for a case of...
Shorting post loaded annular microstrip antenna is of considerable interest. Recent works have presented formulations for annular microstrip patch with a shorting post located at the centre of a circular disc, thereby converting the structure to an annular ring with a centre shot. A theoretical formulation for multiple post loading (up to ten posts) of an annular patch is presented. The posts are...
Impedance matching for microwave amplifiers have been investigated extensively using different methods such as stub matching for broadband applications. In the present communication broadband impedance matching technique has been developed by combining the amplifier module with series microstrip transmission lines with optimum characteristic impedance (Zc) and electrical length. Resistive loading...
