The Fano phase formalism enables measurement and control of phase and amplitude of an emitting dipole. Here, we use this formalism to measure and understand the dynamics of bound states in strong laser fields.
•MRI volumes of the orbitofrontal cortex (OFC) were measured in first episode schizophrenia versus healthy control subjects.•The first episode schizophrenia group was subdivided into patients with and without a family history of schizophrenia.•No significant differences in OFC volumes were found between the total group of first episode schizophrenia patients group and healthy controls.•The schizophrenia...
Carrier-envelope phase (CEP) control combined with spectral interferometry (CEPSI) is applied to strong-field high-harmonic generation in order to separate electronic quantum paths resulting in multiple attosecond pulses. 54±16 as pulse timing changes are measured.
Combs of fractional high-order harmonics are generated by split-spectrum field control and explained by interference of two attosecond pulse trains. A change of the instantaneous laser frequency at the intensity maxima tunes the harmonics energies.
