We introduce an extremely compact magneto-optical isolator consisting of a cavity placed in the proximity of a metal-dielectric-metal plasmonic waveguide. The transmission spectra of the structure depend on the direction of the incident waveguide mode.
We introduce compact tunable spatial mode converters for parallel-plate waveguides consisting of two graphene monolayers operating in the mid-infrared wavelength range. We show that such structures can also be used to design graphene-based optical diodes.
We demonstrate generation and propagation of an optical vortex using a metasurface fabricated directly on the cross-section of a few-mode optical fiber at visible wavelengths. The experimental results are in good agreement with numerical simulations.
In this paper, we have analyzed and simulated the behavior of a nanoscale refractive index sensor in two-dimensional plasmonic waveguide with nanodisk resonator, using the numerical method of finite difference time domain (FDTD). The analytic and simulation results demonstrate the linear correlation between the resonance wavelengths of the nanodisk of the sensor and the refractive index of the material...
