This paper provides a study of poles and zeros in the context of structured systems. For such systems, there exist parameter dependent or constant fixed poles and zeros. It is shown that constant fixed poles and zeros can only occur at zero. A graphical method is given to find the Smith-MacMillan structure at zero.
In this paper, ring models of linear systems with delays are considered. We give a simple graph representation for linear structured systems with delays. The structural row by row decoupling problem without prediction of such systems is then studied and a graphical necessary condition for this problem is derived.
In this paper, we give a polynomial efficient algorithm to check the solvability of the decoupling problem by state feedback for structured systems. A directed graph is associated with such structured systems. The solvability of this problem is based on the primal-dual algorithm linked to linear programming.
Across many industries, e-commerce generates substantial modifications in supply chain structures. The aim of this article is to assess different forms of existing organizations when a store-based sales network coexists with a web site order network. Three main organizational models can be detected: “store-picking”, “dedicated warehouse-picking” and “drop-shipping”. We use a “newsboy” order policy...
Structured systems described by state-space models are considered. For these systems, the entries of the state-space model matrices are supposed to be either fixed zeros or free independent parameters. For such systems, one can study structural properties, i.e. properties that are valid for almost any value of the parameters. We revisit the classical geometric theory in the context of structured...
In this paper, we give a polynomial algorithm to compute the infinite structure of a structured system. A directed graph is associated with such structured systems. The infinite zero orders can be computed on the associated graph via the determination of the minimal length of vertex disjoint input-output paths. This search corresponds to a minimum cost flow determination on an appropriate directed...
