Anomaly detection plays a critical role in various smart living scenarios. However, achieving effective detection while not imposing burdens on users is never an easy task. To solve this problem, an unsupervised anomaly detection algorithm using light switches is proposed. By using an unsupervised approach, care takers in nursing homes do not need to label the collected data. By using information...
In this paper, we propose a luminance inspector which uses a CCD camera and neural network models to inspect multiple backlight modules at once. The proposed inspector can display the results at predetermined checked points in real time which is important for in-line quality check. The proposed inspector is more efficient compared to the traditional inspector which examines checked points one by one...
In this paper, a fast backlight module luminance inspection method is proposed. The proposed method inspects various backlight modules at once and all check points within the backlight modules are examined. Comparing to the traditional method which inspects one check point at a time, the proposed method is fast. The experimental results show that the proposed method usually yields satisfactory results.
In this article, 3-D image acquisition for high-speed machine vision using Fourier transform profilometry (FTP) with digital tilting-fringe projection is presented. FTP employing tilting-fringe patterns is proposed to achieve real-time 3-D machine vision. To achieve this, the mathematical modeling of FTP with tilting-fringe projection is presented and the critical condition for measuring maximum surface...
