We experimentally demonstrate a dispersion-tolerant scheme of generating 100-Gb/s/channel using optical carrier suppression and separation technique and RZ-DQPSK modulation using readily available mature technologies. Error-free transmission of 10times100-Gb/s with 100-GHz DWDM channel spacing is achieved over 300-km SMF-28 and four in-line, cascaded ROADM nodes.
We designed and experimentally demonstrated an efficient photonic frequency-tripling technology for 60-GHz radio-over-fiber systems to simultaneously realize millimeter-wave (mm-wave), microwave, and baseband signal generation. The technique utilizes vestigial sideband filtering in combination with optical carrier suppression to generate novel alternate subcarrier modulation for high tolerance of...
We propose and experimentally demonstrate a centrally-managed self-survivable WDM-PON capable of providing protection scheme for distribution/feeder fiber, remote node and laser failure. The bidirectional 10 Gbps transmission over 20 km is achieved with less than 2 dB power penalty at 10-10 BER for both working and protected mode.
A novel, dispersion tolerant, spectrally efficient scheme of transmitting 100 Gbps per wavelength channel by exploiting optical carrier suppression and separation technique and optical duobinary or DQPSK modulation is proposed and evaluated through numerical simulation.
