For the first time, we demonstrate heterodyne EO sampling of terahertz pulses in a DAST crystal. Compared with lithium niobate, which was used in our previous heterodyne EO sampling studies, organic DAST crystal has a 1.5 times larger EO coefficient. Our experimental results demonstrate that DAST is a very promising material for highly sensitive terahertz EO sampling.
Generation of a wide-range and stable THz waves from a photoconductive antenna excited by a multimode semiconductor chaotic oscillation laser with an optical delayed feedback using an external mirror is investigated. A Metal V grooved Wave guide is also used to detect the THz waves effectively.
Generation of a wide-range and stable THz waves from a photoconductive antenna excited by a multimode semiconductor chaotic oscillation laser with an optical delayed feedback using an external mirror is investigated. A high bias voltage is also used to generate wide range THz wave. The THz wave near to 1 THz is obtained using this system.
Generation of a wide-range THz wave from a photoconductive antenna excited by a multimode semiconductor chaotic oscillation laser with an optical delayed feedback using an external mirror is investigated. An optical fiber is also used for easy alignment. The properties of the generated THz wave are compared with those of generated THz wave by using a CW steady state laser.
In order to completely prevent the mixture of different medicines and also their contamination by foreign objects it is necessary to inspect all medicines in the manufacturing process. In line with this, THz time-domain spectroscopy (THz-TDS) is considered to be a promising technique applicable to the quality-control inspection system along the production line of chemicals and medicinal tablets. However,...
In this study, pure water or guanidine hydrochloride solution was added to ascorbic acid oxidase to obtain its native and denatured form, respectively. Results show that both native and denatured AAO in solution absorb THz weakly, though the denatured solution showed a higher absorbance.
A passively Q-switched monolithic solid-state laser with a crystal of Nd:YAG+Cr:YAG bonded at room temperature and a fiber-coupled LD stack was developed. 12 mJ output with 50 Hz and 2.3 ns pulse width was achieved.
1.38 W continuous-wave power at 531 nm with 19.6% internal conversion efficiency is obtained at room temperature by single-pass extracavity frequency doubling of a Nd:GdVO/sub 4/ laser through a 2-mm-thick, 25-mm-long periodically polled MgO:LiNbO/sub 3/.
