The Lamb dip of CO rovibrational transition is detected by a room temperature extracavity RF optogalvanic cell and employed to stabilize the frequency of a CO laser. The S/N ratio of optogalvanic signal is about 2000 at optical power < 1 W. The relative depth of Lamb dip is 2.3%. The S/N ratios of first and third harmonic demodulated saturation signals are about...
We report a continuous-wave, single-longitudinal-mode, singly resonant OPO oscillating at 3.3 μm with 60% pump depletion. We observed optical bistability, thermal guiding, and clamped pump depletion for this OPO.
Abstract. Internal-mirror 543-nm He-20Ne and He-22Ne lasers are frequency-stabilized to the Lamb-dip of their tuning curves. Frequency stability of 210-11 and frequency resettability of 410-9 (or 2MHz) are achieved. The absolute frequencies of the two lasers are determined by frequency-comparing with an iodine-stabilized 543-nm laser. The isotope shift between 20Ne and 22Ne is measured to one order...
