Drug-drug interaction (DDI) is one of the main causes of toxicity and treatment inefficacy. This work focuses on non-communicable diseases (NCDs), the non-transmissible and long-lasting diseases since they are the leading cause of death globally. Drugs that are used in NCDs increase the probability of DDIs as a result of long time usage. This work proposes an Integrated Action Crossing (IAC) method...
Drug-Drug Interactions (DDI) is a cause of treatment inefficacy and toxicity. The most DDI involve drug metabolism which related to enzyme and transporter protein. Drug-enzyme actions that alter the metabolism of other drugs consist of substrate, inhibitor and inducer. Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) are the leading cause of death, drugs that are used in NCDs can increase interaction probability...
This paper presents the framework for low-cost gaze estimation system to find the polynomial model used in with head pose based system. This framework uses three features - center of pupil, glint, and inner eye corner to create the polynomial model. The pupil-glint vector used to estimate eye gaze while glint-inner eye corner vector used to estimate head pose and adding inner eye corner to the model...
The studies of neuroimaging have been shown that odorant-induced responses to the prolonged stimulation in primary olfactory cortex (POC) are characterized by a rapidly habituating time course. This paper is concerned the identification of the active regions in the brain after that stimulation. The correlation technique is used to obtain the quantity that could be a parameter to exhibit the regions...
Extraction of frequency content embedded in a signal is an very important task for signal processing applications. In this paper, we present an approach for frequency tracking of a noisy Time-series using adaptive resampling particle filtering method along with the time-varying autoregressive (TVAR) model. The adaptive resampling scheme is used to address the problem of impoverishment that usually...
This paper presents a comparative study on the use of interpolation based gaze estimations with low-cost web camera with built in infrared LEDs. Six polynomial models were carefully compared based on at 9 points calibration; the best average accuracy from this study among all participants is found to be 1.10 degree from the center of gaze line. The best model provides better quality when compared...
Drug-Drug Interactions (DDIs) are major causes of morbidity and treatment inefficacy. The prediction of DDIs for avoiding the adverse effects is an important issue. There are many drug-drug interaction pairs, it is impossible to do in vitro or in vivo experiments for all the possible pairs. The limitation of DDIs research is the high costs. Many drug interactions are due to alterations in drug metabolism...
In this paper, we investigate a sequential Bayesian filtering method to obtain estimates of instantaneous frequencies using Time-Varying Autoregressive (TVAR) model for ocean acoustics Time-Series. A particle filter along with a nonlinear model for estimating these frequencies is developed. Simulations demonstrate performance of the method compared to standard periodogram.
In recent years, the number of students who enrolled in the course of Introduction to Information Technology at Mae Fah Luang University, Chiang Rai, Thailand is getting larger and larger. This causes the excessive teaching loads for all limited number of instructors who take responsibility of this course. It also causes some problem on study resources, such as the limited number of laboratories/classrooms...
