Microknot resonators, locally fused using a two-probe technique, have exhibited significantly improved optical performance and mechanical stability. They have been operated with low losses both in-situ and as transferred devices. We found consistently more than threefold dynamical range enhancement, which remained stable in time, in electrically fused MKRs. These devices can be harbored in next generation...
We present a simple robust local electrical fusing approach for microknot resonators using a two-probe technique. These devices exhibit significantly improved optical performance and mechanical stability, and can be applied in next generation optomechanical sensors.
We present highly efficient time-lenses for orthogonal polarized signal waves with a specific state of polarization. Our four-wave mixing based time-lenses exploit polarization mode dispersion to compensate for chromatic dispersion. The results reveal that the efficiency of the time-lens is increased fivefold for both states of polarization. We also compensate for any polarization-dependent losses...
