The capacitive RF discharge in cylindrical geometry with the end-face outer flat electrodes (the RF field is directed along the cylinder axis) has been analyzed by a 2D modeling. It is shown that the reduction of cylinder length leads to a significant growth of both specific power and efficacy of excimer UV radiation, whereas the radius variations influence the said parameters only weakly.
