Based on the development of superconducting fault current limiters (SFCLs), theoretical analysis has been carried out to apply a bridge type SFCL to a network 10 kV distribution side and a saturated iron core SFCL is applied to the network 220 kV transmission side. The SFCL performance has been analyzed to reveal the SFCL application prospects for use in the future power grids.
