Wireless Sensor Networks are sets of thousands or more of sensor nodes with very small size and limited energy, scattered over particular area to sense a certain physical phenomenon. Energy constraints are the most important challenge for these networks to work efficiently for long time. Most existing clustering algorithms are applied without considering the density of region. In this paper, density-aware...
There are some classical routing protocols for WSNs (Wireless Sensor Networks) such as LEACH [3] and PEGASIS [5]. However, these protocols may have some problems in delay or energy consumption. In this paper, a novel routing protocol called DCEE (Delay-Constrained and Energy-Efficient) multi-hop routing protocol is proposed, which has high performance in delay and energy cost. In DCEE, through the...
LEACH (low-energy adaptive clustering hierarchy) is a well-known self-organizing, adaptive clustering protocol of wireless sensor networks. However it has some shortcomings when it faces such problems as the cluster construction and energy management. In this paper, LEICP (low energy intelligent clustering protocol), an improvement of the LEACH protocol is proposed to overcome the shortcomings of...
Spatial and temporal plantar pressure distributions are important and useful measures in footwear evaluation, athletic training, clinical gait analysis, and pathology foot diagnosis. However, present plantar pressure measurement and analysis systems are more or less uncomfortable to wear and expensive. This paper presents an in-shoe plantar pressure measurement and analysis system based on a textile...
This paper considers the joint routing and scheduling problem in wireless networks with lossy channels. In order to combat channel loss, packets are assumed to be transmitted by nodes using broadcast, instead of traditional point-to-point communication. We first analyze the network capacity region, and then propose a back-pressure routing with max-weight scheduling algorithm to achieve it. The proposed...
The DFT-MSN protocol tailored for DTMSNs is deeply analyzed in this paper, and we propose an efficient improved DFT-MSN protocol (IDFT-MSN). Our simulation results show that, comparing with the DFT-MSN data delivering protocol, IDFT-MSN achieves a relatively higher message delivery ratio with lower transmission overhead and data delivery delay.
