In this paper a new structure has been proposed to fit six antennas into a compact package. The six antennas can be divided into two sets. A novel wrist conformal dual-band antenna structure is proposed for application in watch-type wireless devices. Simulation results show that this structure can achieve good performance in dual GSM bands and high efficiency when worn on hand. Based on this structure, a dual-element diversity antenna is also proposed. More research regarding this novel structure will be done in the future.
A hybrid slot and inverted L antenna is proposed to transfer a 'harmful' metal bezel to a useful antenna part. The antenna covers two bands, which are GPS (1.575 GHz) and WLAN (2.4-4.484 GHZ) frequency bands. To validate the concept, a prototype antenna was manufactured and measured on a FR4 board. The results agree well with simulations.
This paper presents an ultra-wide band stubby antenna that covers all current cell phone communication bands from 824 MHz to 6 GHz. The antenna has a volume of 5*8*30 mm3. The antenna is made of a folded V shape stamped sheet metal, which can be easily manufactured, and folded to form a three-dimensional shape.
